John Jones is the founder and managing principal of the firm, which was formed in 1991.  He began his career in public accounting with Ernst & Young in Houston, Texas.  In addition, he is the founder and Chairman of The Urban Vision Foundation, a non-profit charitable foundation started in 1997.  John is a director of the Whitehall Club, a non-profit business group that meets weekly at the River Oaks C.C.  John is also a deacon at Tallowood Church.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their four children.  John also enjoys racing off road dirt bikes, sport bike riding, mountain biking, and table tennis.  John holds a degree in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University (Dec.1986).  He is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and the Houston Chapter of the TSCPA.  

John Bonno has been practicing Public Accounting in the Houston Area for the past 40 years. Prior to joining our firm in November, 2011, John was the founder and managing member of Bonno & Associates, PLLC.  He began his career with the Houston office of Arthur Anderson, where he was a Tax Manager in the Natural Resource Division. John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston and is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and the Houston Chapter of the TSCPA.

In addition, John offers his time with a number of non-profit organizations. He is currently serving on the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House of Houston; where he has volunteered for over 33 years.  John is a native Houstonian and in his free time, he enjoys playing Bass guitar, writing songs, and recording music with his band.

Rachel Ortiz joined the firm in November, 2011.  She has over 9 years experience in Public Accounting, 4 of them with Deloitte Tax in Houston, Texas.  Most recently, she was the Tax Manager for Bonno & Associates also in Houston.  Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and their two little boys.  She also enjoys live music, reading, television, and the company of friends and family.  Rachel holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.  She is also a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and the Houston Chapter of the TSCPA.

Vivian Nguyen has 9 years of experience in Public Accounting and tax preparation.  Vivian received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Houston.  In her off time she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

John Schlaudt joined the firm in October 2010 and assists with accounting services and tax return preparation. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Liberty University with a degree in accounting and finance and is currently pursuing his Texas CPA license. In his spare time, John enjoys wilderness backpacking/camping, shooting sports, farm and ranch work, and spending quality time with his family.

Rosie Uribe joined our firm in January, 1997.  She has over thirteen years experience in Public Accounting.  Rosie provides accounting services and assists with the preparation and assembly of tax returns.  In her spare time, Rosie enjoys running, shopping, and travel.

Julie Reid joined the firm in September, 2009. She has over 13 years experience in bookkeeping and Public Accounting. Julie provides accounting services and prepares tax returns.  She is proficient with Quicken and QuickBooks software.  In her spare time, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, hanging out at their ranch, and riding four wheelers.

Susan Reynolds joined the firm in August, 2011.  She has more than 17 years of business experience.  Susan holds a Bachelors of Science in Communication from the University of Texas in Arlington.  She is currently pursuing an accounting degree and ultimately her Texas CPA license.  In her free time, Susan enjoys reading, volunteering at her church, and spending time with her husband, Phil, and their three sons.
